The Blue Plate Dinner

This was a "just chill," low key night.  We ate at the retro Blue Plate Dinner and crashed at Kiki's place for a movie.

Halloween: It's Costume Time!

Check out our awesome, handcrafted costumes... Out of 1,000+ people at the Halloween dance, Jessi won "Most Original Costume." Way to go Jessi!  Can you guess what the rest of us dressed up as?
(the answers are at bottom of this post)

Costumes: Lisa is Tinkerbell, Jaimie is the unglamorous Cinderella, Jessi is the Hymn Book, and Kiki is Pippi Longstalking.

PARK CITY!!!

We packed our bags and headed to Park City for the weekend. We stayed in a lavish 5-star hotel (not!), toured downtown, ate Shepard's Pie at an Irish Pub, and shopped our little hearts out. Jessi's favorite purchase of the weekend: a gray peacoat from BR, and the other 3 girls were excited over their new Toms.

Jaimie was so excited about the fact that she beat Jessi at checkers twice in a row.  Man, Jaimie is sure skilled at that game! ;)

Adventure 2. Oct 15 - Fall Leaves, Aztec Grieves, and Halloween Hauntings

Our second adventure started out with a drive through the mountains to to see all the beautiful Fall leaves. The colors were just amazing!

Look at the friend we found!

After the drive, we headed back to town for food.  Aztec Grieves - Jaimie got this taco salad that seemed to have everything except the lettuce.

And then it was onto Halloween Hauntings at the impressively scary, Strangling Brothers Circus.

All in all, adventure number two was a huge success!  The night ended as it should with 4 girls piled on the couches, blankets, a big bowl of malt balls, and a little Country Strong.

Next adventure, weekend to Park City to celebrate fall break.  I love us.

Adventure #1: Tour of Salt Lake Randomness

Our first adventure. None of us would have guessed that it would all start with 5 girls, brown boots, Ruth's diner, the Virgin Mary, and a giant Joseph Smith sphinx.

The beginning of the trip seemed like any other.  We were just a random group of friends meeting for dinner in Salt Lake.  By the end of the day we all thought, "Why don't we do something like this more often?"  And then it was created.

The Brown Boots Brigade.  A group specifically for girls who don't like to sit around and wait for life to begin.  We decided then and there that we would make a conscious effort to do something new and exciting every week.  We hope you enjoy the adventure.
